"Honto?!"
"Majide?!"
"Really?!"
"Est-ce la verité?"
"Campbell's?"
YES.
I've been considering combining all three of my blogs since, frankly, no one really pays much attention to the others...well, instead of going into that blog pity, I'll offer a few pros and cons:
PROS:
-The others have no real activity and I often forget to post in them or can't come up with new material, so I can get rid of them
-Combination will allow people to read my works without having to go to other sites
-It will increase the randomness of this blog (since that's one of the main focuses, secondary to my novel...which has very few posts on here), meaning people will be more likely to find things they like on this blog
-It will shorten the excessively long list of external links, therefore cleaning up the sidebar
CONS:
-At least one of my other blogs has been linked to by someone else (thank you, Dudel)
-It creates a lot of work for me until it's over (Copypasta, Labeling)
-There will be a LOT of new posts this month (though I'm considering using the spoiler tag to make the posts a little smaller so you won't have to scroll as much. This also means I could possibly put them all in one post without it being too long)
RANDOM
-I'll be able to use the spoiler tag to separate comments from the story, though it was never a problem and I could have done that on the other blogs
-National Waffle Day (US) and International Waffle Day are in different seasons, 3 months apart.
-Cold Case is on right now
-Badgers can't break dance. They also can't tango...with each other, at least. They're not human after all.
If you aren't allergic to HTML coding you could ifram the other blogs into this one... and/or vise verse.
ReplyDeleteThis blog has a LOT LESS external links then mine, which I recently altered to add the target="_blank" codes... which means I had to remake each widget by hand... with custom HTML
Also, I didn't understand the point to having multiple blogs... except for the writing one. You could always post in this one that a new story is about in the other... but I'd 100% suggest "removing" etc the other one about and combining it with thisn' char.... or you could link again to new posts in this blog.
If your link list was up near the top of the page people might be more "inclined" to check those links as well.
Well those are my thoughts, please inform if you are changing the one/deleting it as that requires me to edit things, myself.
Your answer was so much more decisive than the other one I got ^_^
ReplyDeleteI was planning on getting rid of the food one, so we're in agreement.
I can do iframes, I just don't like them. And I know I have a lot fewer links, but my layout is more simplistic, and therefore can only have so many links before it looks cluttered.
I don't want to move the links up. have it organized the way I do for a good reason; archive links on top, as they are, well, rather important. Digsby next because if it was lower, no one would talk to me on it (no one uses it anyway...only person I talk to in Digsby has the program herself. Maybe I'll just get rid of it...). Links are next because if they were below my ads, it would look weird...
So...should I get rid of the Digsby widget?
I have ad blocker blocking the digby widget. XD Even when the option to "not chat" is on, the widget itself "eats bandwidth" for one reason or another so it was easier to just block the main URL for future "issues" as well.
ReplyDeleteQuestion answered?
Oh and I don't "beat around the bush" when it comes to answering a question. Its either A or B... nothing else, just 1 or 2... that's how I work. :)
