Don't Piss Off Old Gypsy Women

I went to see "Drag Me To Hell" this morning and have decided that the main idea in this movie is "Never Piss Off An Old Gypsy Woman".

Soundtrack: 10/10
Special Effects: 10/10
Plot: 7/10
"Scariness": 7/10
----------------------
Overall Score: 34/40

-My score for the music is a little biased, as I'm a huge fan of music from the Roma culture (more frequently called Gypsy music, which is a more general [and slightly offensive] term).
-They definitely spent money on the effects...with one minor exception (the first time it shows the Lamia when Christine first goes to the fortune teller guy).
-The plot was lackluster and left me wanting more; however, it was better than most modern horror movie plots. The characters were a little...erm...dense, but they were smarter than the average horror movie characters. I don't recommend watching the movie if you like kittens, though. I especially don't suggest it if you don't like profanity or are part of the Roma culture. It does depict Gypsies as evil and having pacts with Satan, which is a HUGE lie about such a strong culture. On the other hand, it DOES teach a TINY, TINY bit of Gypsy culture at the funeral of Sylvia Ganesh (the furious Romanian woman who cursed Christine).
-There were some scenes where even my fiancée jumped and she's less of a coward than I am. However, these scenes were destroyed by other scenes where we couldn't help but laugh, as we pictured the Burger King showing up instead of the Lamia.

The movie may make you nauseous at points from flies, partially digested insects, and embalming fluid...oh, and a crazy Gypsy woman gnawing on Christine's face. I recommend this movie if you have a strong stomach, but a love of small fluffy animals.
